What We Do
Giving our kids access to these extras not only makes for a better school experience, but helps create future leaders and great thinkers. Recent FOSS funding includes paying the salary of our STEM facilitator, laptops for the mobile STEM lab, audio michrophone systems, webcams, Covid PPE and cleaning supplies, band scholarships and instruments, athletics funding and art festival support, among other gifts.
What We Need
FOSS is dedicated to giving the extras to every child, every day but we can’t do it without every family participating. We recommend $150 per student (that’s less than $1 per day), but no donation is too small. If every family from Kindergarten to Eight grade participates, we will reach our annual goal! We hope you will help us reach the goal for our kids.
Tiles - Make a $1000 contribution and you can decorate a tile to be permanently placed on the school wall. This is a wonderful way to commemorate your contribution and commitement to the Slavens community.
Monthly Contribution - Just $12.50 a month per student will add up to $150 per year! Set up monthly payments through paypal.
Employee Match - Does your employer match charitable contributions? Don't hesistate, ask your human resources partner about matching contributions.
Grants - Do you know of a grant that FOSS would be a good fit for? Please email us, info@friendsofslavens.org, with the information and our board will review and submit and application.
Amazon Smile - Put your shopping to good use. Amazon will donate .05% of your purchase price to FOSS. That is free money for our kids! It is easy to set it up:
Sign into smile.amazon.com on your desktop or mobile phone browser. From your desktop, go to Your Account from the navigation at the top of any page and then select the option to Change your Charity. Select Friends of Slavens School
